Kitesurf PR is Puerto Rico's premier kitesurfing school. We always make sure that every student receives the special and customized attention that he or she deserves. We offer lessons for a wide range of types of experience: for the beginner with no water-sports experience, up to the well seasoned kitesurfer that wants to take his kitesurfing to the next level.

No experience whatsoever with kites or boards? No problem! We will take you step by step and customize your lesson according to your experience and abilities. Lessons regularly take two hours, but we can always make special arrangements for those who need to learn on a crunch.
So what could your first lesson be like? First we'll start on the beach. We'll teach you: How to rig your kite, how to read the wind, safety techniques and the basics of kite flying. Then we'll go with you in the water "body-dragging". There you'll learn: how to fly the kite and the techniques that will take you into the next step.
Your Second Lesson. Once you are flying the kite comfortably then you are ready to try the board. We'll follow you on our dinghy while we teach you all it takes to get you riding.
If you are already riding the board (even if it is for three seconds!) you are extremely close to becoming a kiteboarder. If you are a beginner- intermediate student we will help you with:
- Maximizing your kite flying skills.
- Work on your body posture atop the board.
- Get you going upwind.
- Help you with Re-launching techniques.
- Coming in and out of the water safely.
- Board rescue.
If you are an intermediate rider (you can minimum stay upwind) we can teach you, among other things: Riding toe side, transitions and basic jumping. Do this with regular lessons or if in a hurry, with our kite clinics (min. booking 3 days).
For our advanced students we offer lessons "a la carte". You tells us what you want to learn and we'll show you what it takes. We can even show you tricks that you might not even know the name! Among some of the advanced techniques you can learn with us we have:
- Jumping higher and landing softer.
- Rotations: backloops, frontloops
- Raileys, board-offs, kite loops and/or handle passes
If you want to get into wave riding, we can help you with that too. We have incredible wave spots in the outer reef, just a little further out from where we do our regular lessons. So in one day, you can get the best of both worlds! Learn through a regular lesson or or if in a hurry, with our kite clinics (min. booking 3 days).
